Tips for Buying a New Computer
By joshdacosta7
Get What You Need
Most computers on the market today can do basic things like browse the internet and send emails. Theres no need to go out and spend a ridiculous amount of money on a computer, when you arent even going to use half of the features on it. The best way to pay only for what you need is to carefully consider what you will be using it for and try your best to anticipate what it will be used for in the upcoming years and such.
Memory
Anything with under 256 MB of memory will make your computer incredibly slow, wo when trying to purchase a new computer try and buy as much memory as you can to increase computer speed ( up to 512 MB ).
Using the Right Windows
After purchasing a new computer the Windows program that comes along with it is more than capable of doing everything you need. So be very hesitant to spend another 100 or more dollars on upgrading your windows program.
Adding Subwoofers
Some subwoofers on the market are very cheap and inexpensive these days. So if possible, buy one to install on your home computer systerm. You wont be regretting this decision as subwoofers not only increase the quality in sound, but ther increase the life of the rest of your speakers.
Big Monitor
Big monitors come in very handy when working on word documents and viewing videos. The quality is much better and it will save you from getting those nasty headaches from looking at the screen to long. So unless your really tight on money, consider a 17 inch or even 19 inch screen.
Fancy Keyboards
Unless you really need a keyboard with a thousand buttons on it, save yourself the confusion and money and just buy a simple inexpensive keyboard that will work for you.
Ask and Shop Around
Dont be afraid to shop at more than one store to compare prices and quality. When buying a new computer its not a race, simply take your time and look for a computer thats right for you. Also, dont be shy to ask friends, family members and even neighbours about the computers they use and what they think of them. You'll be surprised by how many people use computers that aren't necessarily top of the line, but have nothing but good things to say about them.
